What to Expect
New to therapy?
I believe that therapy should be effective. However, figuring out what that means for you is deeply personal and unique. This is why I focus on the therapeutic relationship, first and foremost: developing trust, and comfortability. During your free consultation, I'll ask questions about you and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about me and my practice. We'll also talk about logistics, should you choose to move forward. I know that getting started with therapy can be daunting, and finding the right fit for you is so important!
We'll talk about your past experiences and preferences to find an approach and pace to therapy that works for you. Our work together will be collaborative and based on you, as an individual.
Process
What are the steps toward having regular therapy?
02
Scheduling
Once I receive your contact form, I will send you a link to my online scheduler, to book your free consultation.
03
Free Consultation
We'll connect at the time you chose to learn more about one another and see if my services are a good fit for you. If so, we'll also discuss logistics like availability, desired frequency, payment, etc.
04
Onboarding
Once our first session is scheduled, I'll create a secure online client portal through Simple Practice, which you'll be invited to join via email. This is where you'll fill out new client paperwork prior to our first session, and where we'll meet for virtual sessions.
05
Initial Session and Ongoing Therapy
When possible, I like to conduct structured intake sessions where I ask a lot of questions to learn more about your background and things that could be relevant to our work together. From here, sessions will be tailored to your individual needs and our growing relationship!
DBT
An evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage intense emotions, build healthy relationships, and navigate life’s challenges. Through skills like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, DBT fosters balance and resilience, empowering clients to create meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Contemplative Therapy
Contemplative psychotherapy integrates mindfulness and self-awareness to explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and experiences. By cultivating presence and compassion, this approach helps clients deepen their understanding of themselves and find clarity, balance, and a sense of purpose.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy helps clients rewrite the stories they tell about themselves, separating their identity from problems and challenges. By exploring these narratives, clients can uncover strengths, shift perspectives, and create new, empowering stories that align with their values and goals.
Existential Therapy
Existential therapy focuses on life’s big questions—meaning, purpose, freedom, and connection—helping clients navigate challenges and embrace authentic living. This approach empowers clients to explore their values and choices, fostering a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Attachment Theory
Attachment-based therapy explores how early relationships shape our connection patterns in adulthood. By understanding attachment styles, clients can heal past wounds, improve communication, and build healthier, more secure relationships.

Interpersonal Social Rhythm Therapy
Interpersonal Social Rhythm Therapy (ISRT) helps clients manage mood and improve relationships by stabilizing daily routines and social interactions. By identifying patterns and creating balanced rhythms, ISRT fosters emotional stability and supports lasting personal growth.
