MY APPROACH

Therapy should be effective.

It might seem straightforward, but figuring out what constitutes “effective” therapy is deeply personal and often changes over time. Many clients find me when they feel desperate for change but also skeptical that change is possible. Maybe you feel like you’ve tried everything, or maybe you have no idea where to even start. It’s completely normal to feel hesitant about asking for help when you’re not sure what that help should look like.

I start with what I know: good therapy requires a good relationship. Research shows that the bond between a client and therapist is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes—even more so than any specific technique or intervention! That’s why finding the right “fit” is so important. At the beginning of our work together, I'll take the time to get to know you, asking questions that help me understand who you are, beyond the challenges you’re facing. I value your feedback and will use it to guide our sessions. My priority is to build a foundation of trust, comfort, and mutual respect.

As our relationship grows, we’ll collaboratively explore the issues causing you distress and identify practical steps toward relief. Together, we’ll create a personalized path forward that honors where you are while guiding you toward where you want to be.

I believe in balance.

My approach to therapy blends person-centered, holistic support with clinically grounded, evidence-based treatment. I am passionate about therapeutic modalities such as DBT, CBT, and ACT, integrating neuroscience and psychoeducation as much as it may benefit each client. In addition to these tools, I draw from my training in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist psychology, often incorporating mindfulness and somatic-based interventions to help clients cultivate mind-body awareness. My goal is to help you balance your desire for change with the nurturing of self-compassion and acceptance necessary for sustainability!

With nearly a decade of clinical experience, I draw on my diverse background in group dynamics, human development, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, systems theory, and diagnostic assessment. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and socially conscious lens, tailoring our work together to your individual needs and circumstances. I use the development of our relationship as a barometer, ensuring that the process feels collaborative, supportive, informative, and aligned with your goals.

I offer online Telehealth therapy to individual adults and teens, as well to couples and families.
